Northville is a city that can be found in Michigan. It is also part of the Metropolitan Detroit and in 2010 it had a population of 5,970. A lot of the city is actually surrounded by Novi and it has plenty of public schools as well so if you want to move with your kids then this is the perfect place for you. The area of Northville was established in 1825 and it was incorporated in 1867. In 1955 it became a city and it was also originally one of the two communities to be a part of the Plymouth Township as well. The first patent was granted to none other than Gideon Benton in the year 1823. That is where Cass Park is located now and it is interesting to think that settlers didn’t actually arrive until 1825.
Alanson Aldrich was one of the first settlers there and he sold his property to John Miller, who established the first mill in the area. This quickly became a historical landmark and it was there for over 70 years. On top of this, Northville also got its name because it could be found in the north of Plymouth, so you can already start to see how the city has developed over the past couple of years.
